Autopilot & stress
Keanu says in a recent interview that he was depressed a few years ago and that this eventually helped him see that life is now, and living more in the present is essential to reconnect & live a more relaxed lifestyle. I fully agree with Keanu that we are often so much on autopilot with our careers – phones – multitasking that we forget to truly relax, re-charge, enjoy the moment & take good care of ourselves.
Lack of daily self-care: an energy drainer
Ignoring your daily self-care for a longer period of time leads to excessive tension, stress, a bad mood, lack of focus & creativity and drains your mental, emotional & physical energy. It can even lead to a burn-out, depression, physical ailments, divorce.
Turning this around for myself in 2015 – and making me & my well-being top priority again – was so pivotal for my life. It allows me to feel, instead of over-think, what I need to fully thrive and give this to myself on a daily basis.
I know now from personal experience – and from the success stories of my clients – that daily self-care, including relaxation, exercise & healthy food – can be balanced with a dynamic career!
